Marc Mero
Author and former WWE wrestling champion and founder of the non profit organization Champions of Choices. He was highly successful in the sports entertainment industry but lost it all because of addiction. Through that journey he learned what was most important to him in life. His story will inspire you to examine your life choices and make a difference in your personal life, school, career, and community. You will leave with a sense of appreciation for the gift of time and the relationships in your life.
Nick Watts
Music minister from Bacon Heights Baptis tChurch. His life was shook when is 19 year old son, Jordan, committed suicide. Jordan professed his faith in Christ when he was just 6 years old. He loved Jesus with all of his heart, surrendering his life to be a global missionary when he was 15. However, like his father, Jordan suffered from clinical depression. On May 13, 2013, as best as his family can explain it, Jordan’s mind broke. He talks about how their life was forever changed and they had to face the reality of it never being the same again.
Vickie Jinks
She shares the experience as a mother of an addict who eventually passed away from an overdose. Her son, Seth, died from an accidental drug overdose in December 2013 just a few days after his 20th birthday. Since the time Seth was 15 he was in and out of the hospital and rehab facilities for his addiction. His parents went to Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholic Anonymous meetings with him, and watched the daily struggles created by a lifestyle of drug abuse. Mrs. Jinks will share her story of the struggles they faced as parents of an addict who eventually passed away.
